Abstract

In a construction project, management is one of the important things that must be  prepared before the construction project begins. One of these is the management of temporary facility layout planning (site layout). Ineffective or suboptimal temporary facility layout planning (site layout) will result in increased expenses for rearranging several temporary facilities, which will affect worker productivity. In the construction project of Building XYZ located at Jl. Jend. Basuki Rachmat, Keputran, Tegalsari District, Surabaya, the construction site is relatively narrow compared to the temporary
facilities available in the project, so, the objective of this study is to optimize the existing site layout planning by considering the number of facilities and the frequency of worker movement to maximize productivity on-site using the multi-objective function method to obtain the most optimal site layout planning. From the four site layout formations analyzed, the most optimal site layout for the XYZ Building construction project in Surabaya is Formation 1, which divides the work area into two sections, thereby minimizing the daily travel distance on-site by 985 meters per day from the existing condition of 2,922 meters per day. Additionally, there is an option for layout formation 3, which does not divide the work area into two sections, capable of reducing the travel distance by 1,296 meters per day from the existing condition on-site of 2,922 meters per day.
